Emergency Community Response

Since 2020, the Hunter Memorial Foundation has been involved in multiple emergency outreach projects. Responding to both local and national emergencies, these initiatives have helped to serve and unite the community through hands-on service and giving.

East Brainerd Tornado Community Relief Efforts

Our first emergency project was a response to the tornado that hit the East Hamilton Community. On April 12, 2020, an E-3 tornado hit the East Brainerd, Ooltewah, and Collegedale areas, taking many lives and wreaking havoc for miles. The Hunter Memorial Foundation organization passed out food and water to those negatively affected by the tornado in the East Brainerd community. The response to our effort was overwhelming, and as a result, the HMF decided to make the emergency community response a fixed initiative.
