We are inspired by art, and we believe in its amazing power to connect people by displaying common experiences, values, beliefs, and emotions. As a result of our passion, the Hunter Memorial Foundation has created art-related initiatives in addition to the Mural project to reach the community through art.
Our Art Projects
The Change through Color coloring book
We are creating a coloring book filled with illustrations of people from all different backgrounds, lifestyles, and nationalities. The goal of the book is to help spread awareness on the importance of diversity.
Once completed, the coloring books, along with a box of crayons, will be distributed to the community.
National Tree Day
Our National Tree Day project helps to spread kindness by providing people with free trees to plant. Many planted these beautiful little 3-foot trees in their yards to replace trees lost during the April 2020 tornado or in honor of family members.
Welcome Wednesday
Welcome Wednesday is a virtual series designed to support artistic endeavors. In this video series the HMF features a local artist and their work. To learn more about this initiative, or to watch videos in the series, check out our Facebook page.
